“Movin’ On” is a classic blues story about knowing when enough is enough. Born from the frustration and emotional wear of a dysfunctional relationship, the song is about reaching that moment when you finally stop looking backwards, leave the trouble behind and take control of your own life. There’s hurt in the story, but this isn’t a song about feeling sorry for yourself. It’s about acceptance, freedom and finding the strength to walk away. Taking whatever scars, the past has left you with and getting on with living. Rooted in the storytelling tradition of the blues and driven by a blues-rock attitude, “Movin’ On” is ultimately a song about closing one chapter and having the courage to start another. Sometimes the only way forward is to leave something behind.

“Long Time Gone” is a blues-rock song about finally cutting someone out of your life and having absolutely no intention of letting them back in. It’s the story of a relationship that has run its course, where too much has happened and too many lines have been crossed. The decision has been made, the past has been left behind, and this time there’s no looking back. There’s no pleading and no regret here. “Long Time Gone” is about drawing a line, reclaiming your life and making sure the person who caused the damage stays exactly where they belong, in the past. Built around the timeless blues themes of love gone wrong, betrayal and walking away, the song carries a tougher blues-rock attitude, less heartbreak and more defiance. Because sometimes moving on isn’t enough. Sometimes they need to be gone, and stay gone.
“Tyre Kickin’” is where the talking stops and the guitar takes over. A full-throttle instrumental rock track built around big riffs, driving rhythms and unapologetic lead guitar, “Tyre Kickin’” is all about energy, attitude and having some serious fun with six strings. There’s no vocal and no story to explain the guitar is the voice. From blues-infused phrasing and screaming bends to fast runs and full-on shred, the track brings together the different sides of my playing and gives the guitar plenty of room to do what it does best. It’s loud, fast, guitar-heavy and deliberately over the top in all the right places, the kind of track that belongs somewhere between a cranked valve amp, an open road and a right foot that’s getting slightly too enthusiastic.
